Time Warner Cable has NO customer service

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008
Hi All I recently had a theft out of my garage which included a old cable box from my sons room that I was going to return to Time Warner Cable. They dropped the remote so I was able to return that. I have had this cable company for over 25 yrs, paying rent on the cable boxes each month. My monthly bill with Time Warner Cable is at least 175.00 per month which includes road runner. When I went to TW office and told them what happened they said I had to pay $250.00 for the stolen box. I told them I was a long time customer, that the box was 20 yrs old and I had paid 10.00 a month for all that time and thought the rental had more than paid for itself many times over. I asked them to waive the $250.00 charge. They would not waive it. I asked for a supervisor and she would not waive it. I came home and emailed the corporate office and they would not waive it. I told them because of this poor customer service to a long time customer that I would be cancelling their service and changing to ATT. I also told them I would be telling everybody I know. I signed up for ATT and now am not only saving about 50.00 per month, I am getting a 100.00 sign up credit. It also includes my phone with unlimited free long distance.

Resale ISP needs contact to disable AT&T ATM intercept filt.

Hey all, hopefully one of you SBC^WAT&T'ers can lend a hand again. I have a resold DSL connection. AT&T has begin intrusive inspection of resold ATM transit in our area, and forcing all streams through their gear, which is destroying service for resale customers. My ISP has tried to reach someone, and only gotten repeated claims that no such intrusive inspection or filtering is taking place. Well, sorry guys, I can prove it not only is, but it is deliberately targeting specific protocols excessively. Obviously, this is just a stupid situation period. One, it's more load on AT&T's gear. Two, they're lying about it. Three, it's ATM transit to the ISP, who provides the actual IP endpoint/PPPoE termination. I told my ISP I'd poke you folks here, because all they want is someone they can talk to, to get this crap turned off. It's resulting in a lot of angry customers, yours truly included. (And if anything, this makes me less likely to switch to AT&T in the future, since I do a lot with OpenSolaris, and my latest favorite HL2 mod is now only available via BitTorrent.) Thanks! -- -CopperMedium If the speed limit isn't clearly posted, there isn't one.
